ChannelHelm is local-first. The short version: your media, transcripts, and generated assets stay on your own machine.

Local-first by design. The ChannelHelm application runs on your own hardware. Source videos, transcripts, analyses, and generated assets are stored locally in your own database and file storage. They are not sent to the operator and are not collected by any ChannelHelm cloud service, because there is none.

2. This website

This marketing website is informational. When you visit it, the hosting provider may process technical data that your browser transmits automatically (e.g. IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) in server logs for the purpose of delivering the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you.

Fonts

This site's fonts are self-hosted and served from the same server as the page. Loading a page does not send any request to a third-party font service, so no font provider receives your IP address.

No tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels on this website.

3. The ChannelHelm application

The application processes the content you give it — videos, audio, transcripts and the assets derived from them — entirely on your own infrastructure. To generate text and analyses it calls the LLM providers you configure (for example a local model via Ollama or LM Studio, or a third-party API such as OpenAI or Anthropic). To publish assets it calls the social-publishing and editorial services you connect. When you choose a remote provider, the relevant content is sent to that provider under its privacy policy and terms. You decide which providers to use; a fully local configuration sends nothing to third parties.

4. Contacting us

If you email us, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We keep such correspondence only as long as necessary.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
